Meet the VV GROW Fellow: Heba Abou El Eid
“Every mother deserves to be heard and supported.” This is a statement Heba Abou El Eid lives by and the mission of her business, The Mommy Club Egypt Co.
As a former young mother, Heba sought the support of other young women experiencing the same insecurities, pressures, and obstacles. Recognizing that “every mother deserves a safe space to be heard and supported” inspired Heba to create The Mommy Club Egypt Co. in 2015, which started as a small WhatsApp group of 20 moms.
From the beginning, Heba’s mission was to create a community for women and mothers to feel a sense of belonging, where they could freely share personal experiences, questions, and comments without being judged.
Fast forward to 2023, what once was a small WhatsApp group has since expanded into an all-inclusive platform that works with hundreds of vendors and reaches thousands of mothers.
Heba has made groundbreaking strides as the creator of Egypt’s first all-inclusive support platform for mothers. In addition to establishing a communal space for sharing experiences, she developed valuable assistance options through the platform. Heba launched The Mommy Club Benefit Card, Egypt’s first discount card for moms, followed by The Mommy Club Shop, their e-commerce website specializing in all baby products.
Through The Mommy Club Egypt Co., Heba has successfully created a strong-knit community of moms who have a strong influence on one another. The Mommy Club Egypt Co. continues to foster support, empower mothers to find their voices, exchange their experiences, and make them feel understood and more confident.
