Wamide Animashaun is the Co-Founder of CAWSTEM (Connecting African Women in STEM), an organization bridging the gender gap in STEM fields through mentorship, skill-building, and networking. She believes that by supporting and connecting young women with resources, jobs, mentors, and a supportive peer community, we can retain and empower them to thrive in STEM.
Beyond her role at CAWSTEM, she serves as the VP Ecosystem at Propel, a startup helping African tech talent secure global opportunities and where she continues to champion diversity and inclusion in tech. With a rich background in consulting, energy, supply chain, and e-commerce, she has led teams across Africa and Europe at companies like Jumia and PwC. She holds an MBA from the American College of Greece and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Covenant University.
“As a visionary leader, I strive to break down barriers and create pathways for Africans to transform their careers.”
