Neesha Amrish Mehta’s journey started as a creative passion to embrace colors, textures and weaves that were not only wearable but also sustainable. As a mother of a little girl, she believes that protecting the earth is as important as cherishing our girls. Her company, Aeshaane, is an award-winning, global slow fashion brand that celebrates the work of rural craftsmen from local communities to create visual masterpieces from sustainable vegan silk – a cruelty-free cloth combined with the ancient technique of hand-block printing.

Aeshaane showcased at the Fabric of India Festival at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London in 2015 and has been retailing with them since. Neesha also retails with The British Museum in the United Kingdom, the Textile Museum in the Netherlands, and the Sarasota Museum in the United States among a host of many niche concept stores globally.

Aeshaane received ‘The Best Emerging Talent’ Trophy at Top Drawer, London in 2019. Neesha has received the ‘She Unltd Best Entrepreneur Award’ from the leading publication The Times of India. In 2018, she went on to receive the Women Achievers Award for Women Empowerment and Exhibiting Strong Leadership Qualities by FICCI FLO, Chennai.
