Kamaldeep Sandhu

In 2012, Kamaldeep founded Malaika Gifts & Interiors in Nakuru, Kenya targeting tourists, NGO staffers, and anyone else seeking unusual gifts for weddings and other special occasions. She works with male and female artisans to produce high-quality handmade gift items, as well as with various groups to help lift these individuals to a place where their efforts cannot go astray and unaccomplished. She has a very strong belief that as she empowers as many people as she can, they will go on to reach out to many other women who are illiterate and lack the knowledge to influence their saving and investment skills. This social network is based on raising the economic standards of women in society. Kamaldeep believes that educating a woman is educating society. She also works as a consultant for entrepreneurs who wish to venture into the salon business. Kamaldeep has 24 years of experience in customer service and is skilled in bookkeeping, cash handling and reconciliation, staff management, and human resources. She is fluent in English and has basic language skills in Punjabi and Swahili. Kamaldeep is also the Director of Styles Tomorrow, the Membership Director of Rotary Club Rideways, the Assistant Chair of the Ubinifu Association, and a part of the African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program.
