Hina Parvez Butt is a Member of the Punjab Provincial Assembly. She is a celebrated Pakistani politician and one of the youngest women to enter the Punjab Assembly.
Now in her second year in office, significant legislation includes “The Punjab Prohibition of Hate Speech,” “The Domestic Workers Employment Right Bill 2014,” “The Punjab Criminal Law (Protection of Minorities) Bill 2017,” “Child Marriage Prohibition Bill 2013,” “PHome Based Workers Bill 2016,” and “Domestic Workers Employment Rights Bill 2016.”
Her commitment and passion have specifically driven legislation for human rights, the most debated being legislation against forced conversions. She has rendered her services as the General Secretary of First Women Parliamentary Caucus of Punjab and is currently the Women Health Representative.
Hina holds a postgraduate degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) winning twice the Dean’s Honor List Awards and a Masters in International Relations from Middlesex University. She was also selected for the Harvard Kennedy School Education Module. She is one of the most recognized Young Global Leaders and has represented nationally at the World Economic Forum Summits. Hina also received certification from Oxford University and the Pakistan at American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) in the United States.
