Agnes Netunze

Arise Kollections LTD, formerly Sseko Uganda, is a youth-led Ugandan organization that is transforming lives through the creation of high-quality leather and textile products. Arise Kollections has a mission to empower Ugandan women through employment and educational opportunities. To date, more than 200 women have gained employment through the company and developed skills to create opportunities for themselves and their communities.

At the heart of the organization is Agnes Netunze Kitumba, the founder and CEO of Arise Kollections. Agnes, affectionately known as Aggie, has been instrumental in driving the organization’s success and running a transformative gap year program for Ugandan youth. The 10-month program equips young people with life skills and career guidance as they wait for their high school results to enroll in university. Aggie’s leadership and commitment align perfectly with Arise’s mission, making a significant impact on the lives of Ugandan women and youth.

For her contribution to empowering women from her community, Aggie was invited to the Global Leadership Summit 2019 in Chicago, USA. Aggie was also featured as the African-Modern day woman during the US-Africa Leaders Summit Spousal Program in 2014 in Washington DC, USA.
