Eugenia Podesta

Director, Latin America and the Caribbean

Eugenia Podestá Losada is the Senior Program Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean. Ms. Podestá received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and she is a member of the Wisconsin Bar. She carried out part of her law school education at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima where she focused on international law and development. She obtained her Masters degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Latin American Studies with a focus on International Development. Prior to joining Vital Voices she worked in tourism development in Latin America. Before entering the international development field, she provided legal assistance and advice to inmates incarcerated in the Wisconsin State Prison System with the Frank J. Remington Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also managed public policy and literacy programs for the Hispanic/Latino community with the United Way of Dane County. In addition, she has worked as an Instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Edgewood College and has held various leadership positions in community organizations. Eugenia holds a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
